The concert was a one-off performance to celebrate Stephen Sondheim and his work. The money raised from the event benefitted the Sondheim Foundation.

The concert sold out immediately. Due to the overwhelming demand for tickets, the concert was simultaneously live screened at the Prince Edward Theatre, allowing more fans to attend.

On 12th February 2023, the concert won the WhatsOnStage Award for Best Theatre Event

The sold-out West End production saw Broadway legends Bernadette Peters and Lea Salonga lead, ‘The musical theatre equivalent of the superhero team-up’ (Daily Telegraph)

The show closed 16th January 2024 after a successful 13-week run.

The tour started 11th November at the Palace Theatre in Manchester.

Oliver! ran at the Chichester Festival Theatre from 8th July to 7th September.

With over 1.3 million tickets sold across 34 cities, this groundbreaking production made box office history.

The world tour featured a cast and orchestra of over 65, with a core cast that featured a great number of celebrated Les Mis guest stars.

This spectacular production featured an extraordinary new design specifically created for larger venues and an electrifying production enhanced with new set and lighting designs, bringing Cameron Mackintosh’s critically acclaimed production to life on a never-before-seen scale.

The cast was led by acclaimed Australian stars Stefanie Jones as Mary and Jack Chambers as Bert, with both reprising their roles from the Sydney 2022 production.

The Miss Saigon UK & Ireland Tour had its first performance at the Theatre Royal, Newcastle 4th October.

The limited run cast included Katie Hall, Jac Yarrow, Shan Ako, Jordan Shaw, Beatrice Penny-Touré, Adam Gillen, Marina Prior, Killian Donnelly, Ian McIntosh and Bradley Jaden.

Les Misérables celebrated its 40th anniversary.

The Gala saw the anniversary cast perform the show, followed by a special finale that featured a star-studded line up of guest artists from the first 40 years of Les Mis such as Patti LuPone, Michael Ball, Alfie Boe, Samantha Barks, Matt Lucas, Frances Ruffelle, Carrie Hope Fletcher, Gerónimo Rauch, Jeremy Secomb and Bonnie Langford.

Les Misérables holds the record of being the world’s longest running musical.

Throughout 2025, as part of an initiative called Let the People Sing led by Cameron Mackintosh and Music Theatre International, 11 amateur productions of Les Misérables were staged to commemorate the show’s anniversary.

The grand finale, a performance of Do You Hear the People Sing?, saw over 400 performers take to the stage.

The tour smashed box office records, mirroring the success of the West End production.

It marked the first ever time that Hamilton had toured the UK and Ireland, giving fans all over a chance to be in the room where it happens.

The 22-performance engagement in New York sold 117,000 tickets, drawing audiences from all 50 states, as well as Puerto Rico, and across 58 different countries.

Three-time Olivier Award winner Philip Quast, who originated Javert in the Australian production in 1987, a role he reprised for the 10th Anniversary Concert at the Royal Albert Hall, returned in the role of the Bishop of Digne.

On Sunday 9th August, Les Misérables: The Arena Concert Spectacular closed out its two-year run in epic fashion at Radio City Music Hall.

The entire tour visited 17 different countries and regions – United Kingdom, Ireland, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, The Netherlands, Japan, Mainland China, the Philippines, Australia, United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Taiwan and finally New York City, bringing the concert to the United States for the very first time.
